We should have some links available in the near future, but if people are interested in RSS feeds, here are a few that are not available on the main forum page:

Feed for entire site:  http://www.cedadebate.org/forum/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml

Feed for all posts in Discussion:  http://www.cedadebate.org/forum/index.php?c=3;type=rss;action=.xml

Feed for all posts in Tournaments:  http://www.cedadebate.org/forum/index.php?c=2;type=rss;action=.xml

Of course, you also can click on the RSS icon to select feeds associated with any single board.

As far as I can tell currently, there is not a way to tell who wrote a post if you are reading it in an RSS reader.  Is there a way to remedy this?
thanks

Two requests:

1. Poster identification: Like Eli said, this information doesn't appear to be included.

2. Full posts (not truncated): Right now, the RSS feed in Google Reader (from the RSS button produced on the main forums page) truncates posts to about 90 words, after which it adds an ellipses ... It would be excellent to have the full posts.

Thanks!

I changed the post length to unlimited.  That should be working.
I *think* I found a way to output the name.  I made the change.  It should take effect after I reset the web server.  I'll try to do that early tomorrow morning when I suspect no one is online.

Please post an update if it works or if I should keep working on a fix to display the name.

New Solution to Author Name in RSS Feeds:

For a subscription to the entire forum, delete your old link and use the following link:  feed://www.cedadebate.org/forum/index.php?type=atom;action=.xml

For all other subscriptions, change the feed type from rss to atom.

That small change appears to do the trick.  I tested this in Google Reader and a few other programs, though not every reader.

Please let me know if that works or if I need to continue to follow up.

Thanks.

Jeff

The Atom link does indeed display the names. There is some way to make it give you the option of RSS or Atom when you click the orange RSS icon in the URL bar, but I don't know what it is and this would seem to suffice. Thanks! The changes really make it easier to read the forum in Google Reader.
