CEDA Ballot Now Available

The ballot for the current controversy and student representative to the topic committee is now available. The ballot is online at: http://www.cedadebate.org/may2011ballot

Current CEDA members are eligible to vote. If you didn't pay your dues, we can help. You can pay by check or online with a credit card. But, you'll need to be a 2010-2011 member in order to vote.

Ballots are due no later than midnight, May 15 (central). Results will be announced on May 16.

A few reminders:

1. You must have an account on the main CEDA site **AND** it must be coded for voting. Paying your dues isn't enough. Having an account on the forums isn't enough. If you attempt to login and cannot access the ballot, email Jeff and he will fix your account.

2. PLEASE do not wait until 11pm on the 15th to email and ask why you can't vote. Please attempt to login now and make sure you won't have a problem when you attempt to vote. I can guarantee you will be enfranchised if you email me earlier. You may have a problem if you wait until the last minute.

3. Some people have trouble logging into the site. If you login once and still cannot access the ballot, try a second time. That almost always fixes the problem. If not, email Jeff for help.

4. Transferable votes. Please rank all of the controversies and student reps. We use transferable votes. Vote splitting is impossible. If your top choice is ranked at the bottom, we transfer your vote to the next choice during the next round of voting (and so forth). It is in your best interest to rank each question 1-8.

5. I recently upgraded the software on the site. I have tested it and it seems to be working. If there is a problem, please let me know.
