NCFA novice workshop

[Sarah E. Chan]

Does anyone have details on the NCFA workshop?  My DOF and coach are
wondering about the dates.  We start school on Aug 27 and their first
classes are the 28th so if it starts around then, we won't be able to
make it.

  This one could stump Webster huh?
  Is there a difference bewteen the "critique" of a debate and
  a "critique" of a philosphical, theoretical or functional framework of an
  argument (is that the res?).
  SO what wonderful debate god or goddess invented the word "Hasty Generalization"
  I have a new word debate invented - umm umm help me Beavis -
  uh  WOrkability yeah workability. No one ever thought of that word.
  Or Marshall Scott Poole, didn't that person write an article about
  a "critique" of small group communication?  No - that could not mean the same
  thing as the argument that Melissa Wade effectively teaches her debate
  student to argue!
  I think "critique" existed before debate.
  Are we just fooling ourselves?
  I gues we do make up new words for arguments - uh go a head beavis-
  anti-counterplan.  That is a big word.
  Maybe I am just fooling myself.
