Hi Stacey!  I'm sure all you need is one more complication for your
tournament.  Todd just told me that we only have 2 rooms at the
Ramada, and as you can see, we have a lone female.  Is there someone
you could hook her up with to room with there.  I know that's the
headquarters, so perhaps you'll know who is staying there.  We're
happy to share the cost of the room, but this would be a big help.

Dear all,

This is an official invitation to the 1st Slovenian International
Parliamentary Debating Tournament which will take place in Ljubljana on
April 24-27.

Due to the cut of our budget there are no funds for parliamentary program
left. So we will fundraise at all possible sources, and we have finished
together the fundraising plan at the minute I write this. Also, in order
to make this tournament possible, we need to charge participation fee. The
participation fee is 150 DEM per participant, which will cover
accomodation and all food, and should be paid at the time of final
registration on April 24.

We are inviting 2 teams and 2 judges per country. The format will be
American parliamentary style; resolutions will be taken from the media
field. Besides KPDP debaters we are also expecting debaters from the
Netherlands, Canada and United Kingdom.

We will start the tournament with "parliamentary debate debriefing" with
trainers from the U.S. to provide warming up for the debates. The
tournament will end with huge spring party and planning for the future of
the universities debate programs.

The deadline for registration is April 1 to this email address. At that
point we need to know total number of participants debating/judging and
arrival times. For any further information you can also contact us every

We promise you lots of great debates, good Slovenian beer and wine, and
great fun. Of course we will take care for visiting to other places in
Slovenia, and there will be time for siteseeing in Ljubljana.
