District 9 Weather Concerns -Reply

Since I am not involved in the tournament, perhaps I should not say
anything but......  Ken wrote  "This to me says, hey I couldn't show up in
time becuase I needed to work, so give me the bye.  We all make
sacrifices, and this is NDT qualifying, not just another tournament."  Ken, I
think perhaps you are making judgements without knowing the "work"
situation of the debater.  Some students have to work, and some
employers are not very understanding.  I also had the impression from
Bear's posting that he was concerned about whether any of his
debaters and coaches could be there for the first round...given the
shutdown situation of the flights out of Salt Lake City. (I doubt that even
the Bear could produce such bad weather)  :)   Would it not be easier to
help Weber out in this situation?
