We never declared war on Vietnam...

But War is not a prerequisite for Treason. The Rosenbergs (How ever it is
spelt.. the ones who sold the secrets of the bomb to the USSR) were killed as
traitors but we were not at war with anyone. Therefore even if we were not at
war with Vietnam, actions that put U.S. Citizens in danger and go against the
task at hand is considered treason. During the Gulf War it would have been
treason to sell secrets to Sadam... Bu the Gulf war was not a War... it was
never declared by congress as so, but was called a UN security mission. So war
is not needed to commit treason
