Just wanted to add to Terry's remarks--  I probably know Matt about as well
as anyone (how many of you had him throw a desk across a room at you while
in high school!?... luckily it missed, and we probably shared a six pack
that night :-), and I can testify to his great passion not only for the
activity of debate but also for the betterment of people involved in it. He
is truly a credit to the community. Matt has been both a friend and a
teacher to me, and I am very happy to see the efforts he has taken to
actively engage the activity in an attempt to enhance the experience of
those who choose to participate. Well done, my friend.
