race/gender equity help

okay, as part of our campaign to get on teh IPDA governing board a teammate
of mine, and I are working to put togther information from different sources
about race/gender equity in debate...  we are looking mainly for college,
but high school information, LD-CX-IE-Parli-NDT-CEDA-AFA-NFA, you name it...
we were wondering if anyone could help us...  we want to put togther a paper
on why race/gender equity is such a big issue, what the problems are, and
possible solutions...  we are also trying to put togther a possible panel to
ahve a discussion at our national tournament...  in the history of the IPDA
only 2 women have won tournaments, and both those were very recently...  so,
can anyone out there help???  would anyone possibly like to be a part of the
panel if we can get one togther???  anyone have interesting cites???  thanks
in advance!!!

PS sorry for the sloppiness of the msg, its LATE...  and im on my way to
bed...

PSS for the moment no sob stories, or personal accounts...  first we need
cold hard facts...  but then once we have outlined the problems and come up
with possible solutions we would LOVE to hear first hand accounts...  and
please dont take that wrong, we just dont want to be influenced until we
make up our own minds...
