okay, so you really think that shrub's appointees won't be all that
bad. boy, have you not been paying attention.

let's look at a few, shall we?

Dr. Reyn Archer, Bush's appointee as state health commissioner. Dr.
Love, as he is known in the state, believes in fiath based public health
policy, and along with Bush decided to cut funding for health clinics in
public schools. Archer believes that diseases are caused by alienation
and a lack of social cohesion. So he shifted money from the school
clinics into studing the root cause of "diseases of lifestyles." Dr.
Love posted $76K job openings for assitant commissioners who had the
"knowledge or the ability to comprehend and articulate the conficting
dynamics of love and alienation as root causes of social dysfunction and
marginal health status. Knowledge of community ethos realating to
dysfunctions and spiritualiy and human nature." He also claimed to the
appropriations committee, on several occassions, that the low
immunization rates in Houston might be cultural.
Archer also said that one casue ot the high teen pregnancy rates in
Texas is HIspanics' resistance to the notion that"getting pregnant is a
bad thing."

And in one of my last posts i let you all in on his appointment of
Charles W WIlliams to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards
and Education. Williams was the one who had testified in a
discriminaiton suit that "porch monkeys" and "black bastards" were not
racial slurs.
