Hi, I begin with an apology to all those on the list who it seems I've offended by my inability to spell. I find it hard to type sometimes because of the medications that I'm on and because of the pain in my hands, so, often, I'm just trying to communicat
e my view on things in the most expedient method, and sometimes that means my spelling skills are diminished, I apologize.

Now, why is that the author assumes all people who voted for Bush are fascists? I would say that at the point where the US Constitution gives a particular power, and if people exercise that power then there is no fascism involved, it's called following th
e law. Now, in my post I did say that I didn't think it the right thing for the Florida GOP to do what they are talking about, I don't even think it's the smart thing for the Florida GOP to do, but it's hardly the Fascist thing when the US Constitution sa
ys they can do it. Now, if you feel it is facist, we should amend the Constitution. It's been done before to amend far more insidious things out of the Constitution, and the process has releived of us things which were trully facist (Slavery, Prohibition
etc).

Next, why label all those who voted for Bush idiots? It seems that you want to smear a lot of good people with a particulary nasty brush. Colin Powell an idiot? I don't think so. I mean, you might disagree with the politics of the GOP but why call the mem
bers of that party idiots? Gringrich, a very good example of the worst my party can put forth, is still a pretty smart guy intellectually as are Buchanan, Buckley, Powel, and others. I guess I resent being called an idiot.

And as for economic collapse? You know, once you start believing the DA's you run in rounds, it might be time to get out of the business altogether. I have yet to see one credible forecast that says if Bush wins, the economy will collapse. I have seen the
forecase that my financial adviser has done for me that says that If Bush wins I get to keep more of my money, and that I can then inivest that money, and make more money. That's not so bad.

There is an excellent editorial in today's Post written by an ardent Gore supporter. The conclusion of the article is that Bush, not Gore, is what the nation needs to bring unity in what has become an extremely politically charged atmosphere.

And, no one yet has adressed my question...when does this all stop? At the point where Gore's troops are saying ,as of this morning, we'll contest the results past Sunday...where does this stop?

This election will soon past, hopefully. It's brought out the worst in a lot of us. It's turned me from a fairly easy going person into a foul mouthed, diatribe spouting, party liner...I hope it just ends. No matter who wins, the world will keep on turni
ng, and the sun will continue to rise and set. Hopefully, it ends soon and we can all brace ourselves for the mid-terms and 2004. Duane
