ADI arguments

Amidst the clouded images in my mind that are now but a vague swirl of spicy
Mexican food, ballpark nachos, sleep deprivation, and desert heatstroke, I
sort of remember promising to post a list arguments at the ADI.  Here's the
list, and when I get back to the much more reasonable temperature of
California I'll post case outlines on our website.

Affirmatives:
Have the Supreme Court ratify the legislative exemption that legalizes
Peyote use.
Don't extend the Endangered Species Act to reservations to allow the
injustice created by forcing reservations to be more protected than other
areas.
Child welfare; ban the Existing Indian Family Exception to the ICWA.
PL 280 - basically get rid of it, according to the authors Jimenez and Song.
Wildlife management; amend Pittman-Robertson and Dingle-Johnson to give
reservations more money for management.
Nuke waste; encourage state/tribe negotiations to create a temporary storage
facility on the Goshute reservation in Utah.
Indian gambling good; modify the IGRA to allow more of it.
Indian gambling bad; ban internet gambling (I don't know how Shawn Whalen
can, in good conscience, encourage his students to take a "compulsive
gambling bad" stance, but there you have it)
Extend Title VII to non-Indian employees on reservations
Establish substantive criteria for the siting of hazardous waste disposal to
stop environmental racism.
