Tourny Participants,

A few people have indicated that they needed another
copy of the invite. I thought some others might need it
as well. It is pasted below and attached in word. We
are up to in 43 open, 13 in jv, and 9 in novice. A total
of 65 teams for the Joe C. Jackson.

Some others have also called to ask for directions. The
campus is located off the second Street exit of I-35.
Take Second Street to Baughman Ave. and take a right
onto Baughman (If your coming from I-35 if you pass the
fire station you've gone too far--however, those parking
lots are connected so just pull in and head north--
Coming from Broadway, you will take the left right after
the fire house). Liberal Arts (LA) is the first major
classroom building on your left after you turn onto
Baughman. Registration is in LA 3-4pm.

Good Luck & Travel Safely,

Jason & Doug

Dear Coach:

The University of Central Oklahoma extends an invitation
to you and your
students to attend the annual Joe C. Jackson
Invitational Speech and
Debate Tournament to be held on the UCO campus on
November 9-11, 2001.

Six rounds of debate will be offered in three separate
divisions: Open,
Junior, and Novice. In the past Octa-finals have
developed in both Open
and Junior and quarters or below in the other divisions.
Speaker awards
will be given to the top ten speakers in each division
of debate. Team
awards will be given to all teams that reach the
elimination rounds. We
will also be offering a single division of non-policy
debate if entries
warrant it.

Dr. Jeffery Jarman, CEDA?s Executive Secretary, will
direct the tab room. We
hope you and your students can join us in Edmond this
November.

Respectfully,

Communication Department
