[eDebate] cell phones and debate rounds -oops on Kevin -

Mr. Sanchez managed to mistakenly reply to the entirety of edebate, rather
than responding to a cx-l post that I had written several hours ago
concerninga friend losing a debate round because her partner's cell phone
rang during his speech.
Since I neither own a cell phone nor debate (anymore), I see no reason to
respond to his message that is based off of those two assumptions. I am,
however, a tad appalled at his assertation that I would try and find reasons
to "sabatoge" a debate round. Alas, such is life, and obviously he has
none.
Sorry for the wasted bandwith/confusion.
Eva

dear eva marie harris (cussbucket?):
what an intriguing way to prevent a debate round from going on?
a. plant a cell-phone in an assigned room
in a good hiding place
where it'd be nearly impossible to find&answer
b. program a bombastic classic song as a ring
satrizing debate's inflated
ego-obsession with victory
then c. call that cellphone during that round:
if you could do so as an audience member,
you might even time your calls
for important strategic moments
sounds like a creative way to culture jam academic debate
thanks for the suggestion
