Alex,

Actually, I don't think you'll get too much of a response here.  I posted 
some encouragement (and a lighthearted comment or two) to another person in a 
similar quandry this summer and was beaten up a bit for it, so I'll not do 
that again in this forum.  I will say that one of the most important elements 
in being a committed and effective advocate is to know the ways of your 
adversary.  I can think of no better forum to get an education into what the 
left is thinking than by participating in this activity.  It will be 
frustrating at times, to be sure, but if you're willing to put in the time 
and effort to do the research, it will be rewarding as well.
