scott writes: "Why not get rid of competitiveness altogehter. Prior
to tournaments, many school gathered together just for public forum
debates. Could it be that those who use the kritiks are just using
them to win tournaments?"

(although i disagree with scott on many issues,) i must chime in with
my complete support for scott's proposal: i also share in your indict
of today's kritikers, or 'performance artists' - here it is:

*****
the k is not living up to its tradition of critical thinking, it works
within a myopic conception of argument and wastes its agency within
a competition-only tournament-contest-round agon that it refuses to
question and hence legitimates to the extreme detriment of the search
for truths and social changes
*****

what's your reaction to this SHANAHAN,
considering the above is similar to what spanos says of deconstructionism,
see 'the indifference of differance' in 'hiedegger and criticism'
?

what's yours' KUSWA,
considering the above is similar to what foucault says about polemics,
see the last interview in 'the foucault reader'
?

why did ignore this question SHUSTER,
considering the above is similar to what schlag says about normativity
... (i was surprised when he wrote back to me once to tell me that
if normativity was the commodification of ethics, agonivity was the
commodification of dialogue)
?

... anyone, anyone?
