We've got a few new contributors this week, which was pretty good. *thanks*
There's a couple articles we'll probably put up later in the week so look
out for that if you're interested. 

I was really touched by Chief's email to the list. That stuff is true, I
think. My biggest pet peeve in the world is people who get assigned to
judge junior or novice rounds and don't take it seriously. Those people
deserve your attention too. Be an educator. Be an interested observer. Be
whatever you want, but be a good person. So double saluts to those critics
who did their *jobs* and salut to Chief's debaters because there's nothing
more annoying than a debater who ignores the rfd talk. Here's a tip: write
stuff down.

The people who judge debates are pretty smart, by and large. 

Here's something else: I went to an actual debate tournament a while ago
and was completely surprised by the amount of people who were like "low
point win kicks ass" etcetera. I never knew. So thanks to all you folks,
everyone else: hope you're having a good week.
