[eDebate] Bush Using Queers as Wedge Issue
Wed Jul 30 15:27:36 CDT 2003
I think you're starting to read MY column of YOUR flow.
MY argument is that the state should not be in the marriage business. But,
that once it decides to confer benefits on people who "couple" - those
benefits should apply equally to all citizens regardless of sexual
orientation, affinity...whatever....AND, more importantly, MY argument is
that it is within the purview of the SC to FORCE states to apply those
benefits equally under the 14th amendment to the constitution.

Coop your argument is that this one particular regulation on marriage should
be lifted, because YOU think it should be. What about the regulations? Why
not lift those, because YOU dont hink they should be, hmm I wonder if that
is a product of your JudeoChristian upbringing.
