Breshears:
Putting aside for a moment that over 75 percent of the delegates are still
up for grabs (maybe we should just cancel the DC caucus, and the NV, WI, HI,
ID, UT, CA, NY, PA, NJ, TX, OR...blahblahblah primaries right now...you
game?), I believe that the biggest problem with Kerry is his UNelectability
versus Bush. A thorough vetting by the media and by other Democratic
opponents (something Dean sure as hell got) will make Kerry a stronger
opponent versus Bush et. al.
Kid gloves and a seemless coronation do nothing to help prepare ANY of the
candidates for the fight that's coming.
The folks who joined the Dean campaign WAY BACK WHEN did so because the
Democratic leadership had CAVED on real issues of real importance: Iraq, tax
cuts, patriot act, no child left behind, etc. This crusade is as much about
taking our party back as it is about winning the White House.

Jesus, Coop. If you have any influence with the Dean campaign whatsoever,
PLEASE beg him to attack Bush, and not Kerry. This is idiocy. Did the Dems
learn nothing in 2000? Granted, it was the Greens that put Bush in the
White House, but it's going to take a united Democratic front to get him
out. Quite honestly, attacking Bush instead of Kerry really doesn't go far
enough. Dean, Edwards and the rest should drop out, throwing their delegate
support to Kerry, and start making their bid for the 2 spot on the ticket
(and sorry, Coop, but it ain't going to be Dean). If you REALLY want to
prevent a Constitutional Amendment against gay marriage, you have one hope:
Kerry 2004. This is a foregone conclusion that everyone but you and the
opposition campaigns seem to have realized. Put egos aside and do what's
best for party and country.
