In response to questions about what the distinctions between Latin America
/South America are - I thought I'd figure it out for myself. Sounded like a
good respit from thesis work.

These websites seem to suggest that Latin America is a much more expanisve
geographical area - of which SOUTH AMERICA is a subset.

South America is a continent - which includes the following 13 countries
[and their capitals]. as per
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_continent

Argentina - Buenos Aires
Bolivia - La Paz, Sucre
Brazil (Brasil) - Brasilia
Chile - Santiago
Colombia - Bogota
Ecuador - Quito
French Guiana - Cayenne (part of France)
Guyana - Georgetown
Paraguay - Asuncion
Peru - Lima
Suriname - Paramaribo
Uruguay - Montevideo
Venezuela - Caracas

LATIN AMERICA seems to add the following countries --
as per http://lanic.utexas.edu/subject/countries/

CARRIBEAN COUNTRIES
Antigua & Barbuda
Aruba
Bahamas
Barbados
Cayman Islands
Cuba
Dominica
Dominican Republic
Grenada
Guadeloupe
Haiti
Jamaica
Martinique
Puerto Rico
St. Kitts and Nevis
St. Lucia
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Trinidad & Tobago
Virgin Islands

CENTRAL AMERICAN COUNTRIES
Belize
Costa Rica
El Salvador
Guatemala
Honduras
Nicaragua
Panama

NORTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES
Mexico

A south america topic would certainly be a more limited topic in terms of
countries/geographic area. BUT, it would be a subset of a subset - which is
never ever a good thing.

ALTHOUGH - An FTA to St. Vincent and the Grenadines would probably be a
sweet aff. [watch out for the grenadines pic though]
