Josh and a bundle of other people say that you can choose a good meaning of the words. 

I always said that you could. I simply said that fairness and a host of other T buzz words are not the only criteria by which one might judge the desirability of these choices. My argument has always been an extension of James's original argument that debaters must articulate IMPACTS to their framework arguments.
