"Ede- Uh, we have sent 10 debaters to grad and law school in the five years
of this (Probably more than Liberty)....Doesn't our students winning the
arguments that were made in the debate, call into question this assumption?
"
This seems like a fairly unusual assumption to make about the Liberty
squad...from my past interactions with them I can tell you that they are a
team of massively intelligent people, coached by massively intelligent
people.
While you may not agree with Liberty politically or even pedagogically, it
seems like a bad idea to assume that their students don't go on to graduate
school, or even don't go to grad school on a massive scale. I'm pretty sure
that Liberty has sent about twenty of its debate graduates on to graduate
and law school within the past 5 years.
It sounds to me like an ad hominem argument or even perhaps a "stereotype"
about evangelical Christians and their educational systems and preferences?
