Teams that had exactly three losses (those who should be getting their most preferred judges) saw 14% women judges. Teams that had been eliminated (4 or more losses, and those likely to get lower preferences) saw 28%. And this does NOT even count the fact that women judges were disproportionately represented in the JV rounds (some of which may have been voluntary). This is NOT rocket science. It's what's on the pref sheets that's determining this, for the most part. And it's time for our forward-thinking community to move bravely into the 1970s and change that.
