This year, Corvallis High School, Crescent Valley High School, and South
Eugene High School are joining together to host the Northwest Season Opener
Tournament on October 13th-14th, 2006. This tournament will be held in
Eugene, Oregon, at South Eugene High School (400 E 19th Ave., Eugene, OR,
97401). It's only a few blocks away from the U of O, so come and judge.

The Tournament will feature 6 preliminary rounds on Friday afternoon and all
day Saturday. Judges will be required to submit judging paradigms before the
tournament. This tournament will be the first large Northwest tournament of
the season and we anticipate a great turnout. Teams from Oregon, California
and Washington have already committed to attend.

If you're interested in taking any high school debate squads there, in
addition to CX, we have LD, Public (Parliamentary), Public Forum, ELL,
Expository, Extemp, Impromptu, Radio, Oratory, Poetry, Prose, DI, HI, and
Duo. There's a novice and open division for all events. This will be a good
warmup for Whitman, if they do decide to come.
