Hi - I have been asked to post this to edebate on behalf of the publications committee of the A.F.A.
Members of the American Forensic Association are invited to submit nominations, including self-nominations, for Editor of Argumentation and Advocacy: The Journal of the American Forensic Association. The three-year editorial term for this quarterly publication will commence in mid-2007, for issues in 2007-2010 (Volumes 44-46). The Constitution reserves to the editor the right to select members of the editorial board, and assures her/him of control over the editorial content of the journal. The nomination should include: (1) a letter of interest or nomination; (2) a current curriculum vitae; and (3) a statement of philosophy or approach to the editor's task. This statement should include the candidate's editorial philosophy and should discuss her/his view of the scope of subject matter appropriate for publication in the journal; it also may contain ideas for potential special issues. This statement is the candidate's opportunity to share her/his vision of the journal with the Publications Committee. Nominations should be submitted to the chair of the Publications Committee, Anne Marie Todd, at <amt at sjsu.edu>. Electronic files may be either Word for Windows or PDF files. Hard copies are also accepted; send to: Anne Marie Todd, San Jos? State University, San Jos?, CA, 95192-0112. Nominations must be received between November 1 and December 1, 2006.
