[eDebate] a crazy idea

i am not blowing excellent discussions off.
last night i was forced to watch a 3 hour musical "Tanz Der Vampyr" by you know who...
all in german no subtitles so i had pretty much no frikkin idea what was happening except a bunch of people running around on stage like doomed chickens....
the music was excellent and the beautiful company was amazing. today it's the gardener weed-whacking apart several of my plants, the cable company screwing around, and other assorted clickety-clack.
but... how crazy would it be to do Chief's idea melded with the Tim&Jim and the Iron Chef:
2 resolutions come out, a policy and a nonpolicy. perhaps about the same stuff. affirmatives get to pick which one they affirm in any given round.
solves Stefan's reminder of NDT/ADA perfidy... the Ceda topic is policy... kinda... good enough for no crisis anyway...
if you don't like nonpolicy don't run it on the aff... don't like the usfg shoved down your throat run the nonpolicy aff.
let the marketplace decide.
don't have a lot of policy background? run the nonpolicy aff - on neg you still need to deal but...
too much research? the techies think they can predict how research burden so... a bit narrower policy and a bit narrower nonpolicy... also can be finetuned by making the lit base similar...
this morning, yelling at various supervisors, it begins to look less crazy and more interesting...
See what you?re getting into?before you go there.
