Miami University seeks and assistant director of forensics to coach its
debate program.

Communication:  Assistant Director of Forensics/Instructor to coach
nationally ranked debate team; supervise graduate coaching assistants and
undergraduate squad; teach courses that contribute to undergraduate speech
communication curriculum which has three context areas: public influence,
organizational communication and interpersonal and relational
communication.  Require:  MA or MS degree; commitment to excellence in
teaching and coaching.  Send letter of application, curriculum vitae and

Miami's debate program consistently qualifies for the NDT, has recently
advanced to the elimination rounds of the NDT, conducts a summer high school
debate institute, conducts on campus audience debates, and develops graduate
student coaches.  Miami debate students and coaches have won Truman
scholarships, lead programs at the United States Holocaust Museum in DC,
written topic papers for the college debate community, attended a variety of
major law schools, completed communication doctoral programs around the
nation, and coached debate programs at Augustana, Weber, Wayne, Kansas,
Wake, and Iowa.
