Dear Friends,

The University of North Texas William DeMougeot Debate Forum and the Department
of Communication Studies at UNT are pleased to invite you to attend the UNT High
School Speech & Debate Tournament this November 2-3, 2007. Registration for
the tournament is now available online at www.joyoftournaments.com [http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=nmumofcab.0.gzbafdcab.lekceubab.1446&ts=S0285&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joyoftournaments.com%2F].

Many recall the success of the famed "Texas Tournament of Champions" from several
years ago. We hope to rival your experience at other major tournaments, and we
predict many more years of outstanding high school tournaments on our campus. In
2006 we hosted more than 70 policy debate teams from 4 states and more than 100
 LDers from 4 states.

This year's tournament will offer TFA qualification in the following events: Cross-Examination
Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Student Congress, Duo Interp, Domestic Extemporaneous
Speaking, International Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Humorous Interpretation,
and Dramatic Interpretation. We will also offer Prose, Poetry, and Impromptu Speaking.

We assure warm hospitality and efficient scheduling. You can rest assured that
the tab room is in good hands. Our tab room staff has over decades of experience
hosting tournaments.

We also promise the best judging we are able to find, particularly in varsity debate
events. You will find that individual events will be judged by qualified performance
undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty.

Please join us for what is certain to find its place among great Dallas area tournaments,
and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable.

Best regards,

Dr. Brian Lain, Director of Debate
Calum Matheson, Debate Coach
Jason Sykes, Tournament Director
