Associate Director of Debate

invites applications for a non-tenure track Associate Director of Debate position. Duties will include coaching the members of the Georgia Debate Union, travel, practice sessions, facilitating research, undergraduate recruiting, and limited administrative duties associated with managing the debate program. The job may include participating in outreach projects with the possibility of classroom instruction. Coaching experience at the collegiate level and an advanced degree in Speech Communication preferred. The position is renewable annually with satisfactory performance and will have a highly competitive starting salary commensurate with experience. Does a candidate need an advanced degree?
While an advanced degree is preferred, it is not required. Our primary objective is to hire someone who will direct the efforts of the squad on a day-to-day basis.
Will the salary be fixed?
No. The coach will be eligible for annual raises out of a departmental raise pool.
Can someone secure additional employment in the summer?
Yes. The contact will be a 10 month contract covering the fall and spring semesters.
