[eDebate] two further comments on tournament schedules

1. I think much of the exhaustion at tournaments comes from forcing debaters and coaches to wake up well before they are used to. I get that people have differing schedules but 8am starts mean we have to get up at 6/6:30am. how many of you wake up at that time on a regular basis? now--how about west coasters at an east coast tournament. how many of you wake up at 3/3:30am on a regular basis? speaking for myself: I can handle 16 hour days--I can't when I am forced to get up hours before I normally do.

2. one of the slowdowns for teams and thus the tournament: re-filing cards and moving tubs around. if the community moves toward paperless--things will substantially speed up (you don't need to do refiling--it remains filed on your laptop and obviously no tubs, you just walk to your round). our squad is now leaving for dinner at night 30 to 45 minutes earlier than we used to.
