HEAD COACH OPENING 
EdgemontHigh Schoolin Scarsdale, NYis seeking a debate coach to 
direct our nationally competitive policy team. 

Debate is an extracurricular activity at Edgemont. Head Coach will
conduct 
regular afternoon meetings and practices at the school and take the 
team to 2-3 tournaments per month. Duties also include instructing all
levels of debaters,  
directing team strategy and research, and arranging team travel. Not
required 
to teach any classes or hold a teaching credential, though qualified 
candidates might combine this job with some teaching. Compensation is
$35,000. There are no benefits offered but the school may be able to
work with you to find ways to supplement your income.

Edgemont is a small, high achieving public school a half hour north of

Manhattan. The position requirements are a bachelor's degree and
experience in policy

ASSISTANT COACHOPENING
EdgemontHigh Schoolis looking to hire an assistant debate coach for the
2009-2010 season. Edgemont is located in Scarsdale, NY, about 20 minutes
north of New York City. 

The assistant coach would be expected to attend one meeting per week
after school, assist with evidence production, and attend around 15
tournaments per year. We will strongly prefer applicants who are located
in the greater New York Cityand tri-state area. This position is ideal
for an undergraduate or graduate student with debate experience. 

The compensation will be a stipend of $10,000-$12,000 for the debate
season, commensurate with experience. There is no additional
compensation for judging as that is factored into the stipend, however
the team will cover all travel expenses including meals.
