I will be moderating a debate between Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and
Jamie Raskin on the issue of Separation of Church and State at the
Washington Ethical Center on February 26, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m.
 
The topic for the debate is Faith in Politics: Is it time for
Progressives to Get Religion?        

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the oldest child of Robert F. Kennedy, is
Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, former Maryland Lieutenant
Governor, and author of Failing America's Faithful: How Today's Churches
are Mixing God with Politics and Losing their Way.
 
Jamie Raskin is a Maryland State Senator, winner of the American
Humanist Association's 2008 Distinguished Service Award, professor of
Constitutional Law at American University and author of We the Students:
Supreme Court Cases for and about America's Students.

The debate will be held next Thursday evening the 26th at the Washington
Ethical Center which is at 7750 16th St, NW (near Kalmia), Washington,
DC.  The debate will start at 7 p.m. with a reception to follow.
