Just a reminder that this position will start review on March 30. This is a hard deadline and the application process will close at that time. I would highly suggest that you get your applications in before all the national tournaments get underway to ensure it goes through all the processes for review deadline. You must complete your application online and then it takes a day or 2 for HR to assess whether you meet the requirements of the posting before it shows up on our end.
Also, everything must be completed on the online application - this means your letters of rec and unofficial transcript both have to be online (there is a place to attach them in the online process). If you send them to me, that is wrong. If you send them to HR it takes them forever to get them online and probably wont' happen before the review deadline. So please post everything online.

Assistant Debate Coach/Assistant Professor of Speech
Summary of Job Duties: Teach classroom courses in Debate, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication and Personal Communication, as well as serving as an assistant debate coach for the debate team. Coaching responsibilities included assisting the Debate Coach by: traveling to tournaments, judging, managing team research, the development of team strategies, conducting and evaluating practice debates, recruiting, assisting in the hosting of the National Junior Division Debate Tournament and various other responsibilities as assigned by the Debate Coach. Must be willing and able to work with all experience levels ( novice, JV, and open). Will perform other duties expected of full-time faculty. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which will include evening and week-end assignments.
Master's Degree in Speech Communication or a closely related field with an emphasis in communication required. JD with communication/debate emphasis acceptable. Previous college-level debate coaching experience and Post-Secondary teaching experience is required. Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to the teaching mission of a comprehensive community college required.
