The Department of Communication invites applications for a tenure-track 
assistant professor to begin fall 2010 to serve as Director of Debate. 
In addition to administering the debate program the successful candidate 
would demonstrate teaching and peer reviewed research suitable to Wake 
Forest and will have a reduction of two courses from the standard 
teaching load. Terms of tenure and promotion specific to the position 
will be negotiated. Candidates demonstrating experience with civic 
engagement venues (/e.g.,/ public argument, grant work, etc.) are 
encouraged. Ph.D. required. Women and minority candidates are especially 
encouraged to apply. An application consists of a cover letter of 
interest, a current C.V., contact information for three references, 
sample teaching evaluations, and appropriate evidence of 
coaching/directing experience. Formal review of applications begins 
November 20. Applications will be accepted until the search is
